StaffingStaffing for each young person will be based on the following criteria: Residential HomesAt each home a minimum of 2:1 staff to service users will be maintained day & night for at least the first 28 days of the young person's placement with Active Ark. Extended & Continued PlacementFollowing the first 28 days this may be reduced to 1:1 provided this is deemed safe through risk assessment. Intensive Support and Outreach ProgrammesA 2:1 ratio of staff to service users will always be maintained on 'mobile' intensive support and outreach components of the service. Night TimeNight time staff will sleep-over but no waking staff will be provided unless identified through risk assessment. At times when only one young person is accommodated in any of the houses on a 1:1 basis the support of an additional member of staff will be available if required. |
